Hello from Graz/Austria! I found pictures I made on stage during the soundcheck for the concert on 26 January 1976. The name of the location is Kammersaal Graz.
At this time I was 18 years old, went to school (not on this day), and had no money, but I wanted to visit the concert. So I was waiting for the truck, helped the driver to find the way to the entrance of stage (it is a very narrow area) and asked for helping the crew.
Mick Grabham and Strat, with the empty auditoirum behind him.
Gearheads may be able to identify the equipment here?
A bassist is also glimpsed ... possibly Copping, probably Cartwright
Gary Brooker at the open-topped grand piano, with budgie
perched on the mic stand, and empty auditorium behind.
Feast your eyes on these cables, cabinet and gizmos (or gizmi).
The object on top of the tambourine looks like a large hat,
or perhaps a plump toy penguin lying supine.
Later I was hired to get food for the band, because I knew the surroundings. I brought grilled chicken and french fries from Wienerwald-Restaurant and we ate together.
In the evening I enjoyed the concert, the band members signed a vinyl and for me ... which finished one of the most exciting days in my life.
So I send you a small puzzle-piece from the year 1976, from history of a great band!
Kind regards from Austria and please excuse my bad English.
