The soundcheck included Fool's Gold, Perpetual
Motion,
and (yes!) Repent Walpurgis, all played in full. There had been talk, from the promoter's side, of cancelling the show because inclement weather was forecast. In the end, Procol's attitude -- 'if we can make it here, the punters can make it here' -- was amply vindicated, and the band played to a largely-full, and highly enthusiastic, house. No Pandora, but otherwise a full roster of favourites old and new, everybody on great form. Hope everyone got home safely in the rain and snow, in the rain and snow ... and that GB's prediction ('panic buying of essentials ... water, sugar and hair-dye') remains unfulfilled. Good luck to the Procols flying to Boston for tomorrow night's show. |
