Gary Brooker – During interview with Mark Powell of Cherry Red Records, 5 April 2018
Gary
Brooker – The Long Goodbye – 1985. Head held high; eyes on the sky. Gary does
not look familiar to me during the mid-eighties.
Was it that it was a non-Procol time period? Or was I too busy raising a baby
and unaware of his appearance?
Or was it that he just looked really different? Probably all three.
On 29
November 2002 Gary Brooker was among musicians and singers participating in the
George Harrison tribute concert, The Concert for George,
at which he sang lead vocals on their version of Old Brown Shoe. The
concert was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London as a memorial to George
Harrison
on the first anniversary of his death. The event was organised by Harrison’s
widow, Olivia, and son, Dhani, and arranged under the musical direction of Eric
Clapton.
Gary Brooker sang lead vocal on the Alan Parsons Project song Limelight from their 1985 album, Stereotomy.
