When BtP
organises a Convention outside the webmasters' home countries of Norway and the
UK, we're invariably indebted to the energy, skill and
local knowledge of friends in the appropriate locality. This excellent party
couldn't have happened without two men ...
... Hans Tammes, who also sang in The Palers' Band (this is evidently Nothing That I Didn't Know) and played acoustic guitar ...
... and
Procol scholar Frans Steensma, who gave the address, about the history of Procol
in the Netherlands ... amazingly
thorough and intriguing, and now (of course!) extended by two concerts,
Zoetermeer and
Lelystad
Webmaster Jens, as ever, greeted the assembled company with his inimitable affability
And Roland did his bit too
Jan and
Rob looked after live sound, with unfailing good cheer and professionalism.
We're also very grateful to Rob for hosting Palers' Band
rehearsals for three days and nights in his
studio in The Hague. Hope we didn't sour the ewes' milk nor traumatise the
chickens, Rob!
'No, I
don't do requests,' says Geoff Whitehorn's tee-shirt ... though in fact he did
get up and play
Fires (Which Burnt Brightly) and Playmate of the Mouth, which was
warmly appreciated
Among the revellers, Marion from Germany, Sari from Finland
And Peter from London, known to GB for some reason as 'Del Boy'.
