Bid for cymbal, stand and case at eBay
Sizzle cymbal drilled for eight rivets
(two missing) and muted with masking tape in two places
It weighs about 8.2 pounds, and is 22 inches across
Underneath the cymbal. The roadie's mark
('4') is seen on many concert photos of the era when
Detail showing condition of cymbal. Like the other items offered
in this sale, this instrument belonged to BJ Wilson, who played it with Procol
Harum for stage and recording work;
Self-evidently we
have not tidied up nor cleaned any of these items; they're offered in used
condition and have clearly been in storage for quite a while.
Another shot of the cymbal's undeberlly
It is being sold with stand as illustrated
There's rust on the chrome, which would not be difficult to clean
up if one wished to. The red tape indicates the height
It's a Premier stand, as marked, still with felt bushes
Detail of the flush bass of the stand
The sizzle cymbal fits exactly in this case, which advertises
Sabian; please note however

it was later in the possession of Gary Brooker, who played BJ's kit for
home demo purposes
Their historic patina will surely give them real appeal to BJ's fans – they are
as he handled them – but of course they can also be
cleaned up, restored and so on as required by their eventual lucky owners
to which BJ liked the stand extended
that the instrument itself doesn't have a maker's mark on it
