'Surprising not to see David Firman as conductor of The Danish National Concert Orchestra and Choir,' writes Thomas Raa Olsen, 'but fortunately Henrik Vagn Christensen is familiar with the Orchestra. They have made several recordings together. I am sure that the audience was well pleased with Henrik as a substitute. Band and orchestra if possible in even better shape than the first two concerts. They are simply made for each other.' The picture shows the excellent violin solo in Grand Hotel. |
