The Palers' Band, Wuppertal, Germany

Who played in April 2013 • group photo by Charlie Allison

Pictured on stage at Live Club Barmen, Wuppertal – just at the end of the afternoon phase of BtP's 'Echoes in the Night' convention – is the seventh incarnation of  the Palers' Band, the Protean ensemble that gathers on the fringes of Procol's own concerts and plays items from the extended repertoire at Palers' parties. Setlist here

Previous get-togethers include St John's Smith Square in London (2007); Domus Felix at Lejre in Denmark (two nights in 2006); BB King's Club in Hollywood (two nights in July 2003); Salford University, UK, in June 2001; Quality Hotel Kristiansand, May 2001; and the Civic Centre in Guildford in 2000, where the whole enterprise began. Here's the full who-did-what ...

Those in the final row didn't get to perform, for a variety of reasons. The others have collectively notched up eighty-one shows'-worth of Palers' Band experience:
from Guildford (2000); Kristiansand in Norway and Manchester UK (both 2001); Los Angeles (2003); Lejre, Denmark (2006); and London (2007)
