Slupsk and the Baltic coast town of Ustka.

Mac Gajda writes to BtP: 'I’ve read with great excitement of upcoming PH gig in Poland! It will be exactly ten years after their Sopot gig (June 2000) when they played in an open air theatre, similar to that in Dolina Charlotty (Charlotte’s Valley) this August. All PH fans in Poland are looking forward to see them again. For me it will be a particular experience to welcome them again close to my home town after ten years.

For all visitors who are going to spend that marvelous night, a few pieces of information. The easiest way to get there is to fly to Gdansk; there are numerous flights from the UK, Norway, Germany etc. including Ryanair, Wizzair etc. (see www.airport.gdansk.pl ). The venue is about 140km from Gdansk where you can get reasonably by train/bus to Słupsk and then (10km) from there to the site. Alternatively, one may rent a car at the airport. I may find out more details if somebody is interested. Of course you may travel by car whether via Berlin (370km) or by ferry boat from Sweden/Finland, or by train.

Since the place is rather remote I would strongly recommend a room at the only hotel there – see www.dolinacharlotty.pl , also in English. I’ve done it today without a problem (about 100 GBP for double with breakfast) but certainly a number of rooms is limited …
