An icy pre-Christmas evening at
Kenney Jones's rebuilt
barn, Hurtwood Park Polo Club:
view from the stage end towards the bar – scarcely room to move
The band was billed as 'Gary Brooker and Friends' but it was definitely No Stiletto Shoes who took to the stage
It was a first time for the excellent Paul Beavis on drums
Frank Mead played saxophones, harmonicas and assorted percussion, as well as taking a lead vocal
Andy Fairweather Lowe shared vocal duties and played some fabulous guitar
Dave Bronze sang backing vocals and provided all the basslines
Gary Brooker was, of course, the bandleader and master of ceremonies
And a great time was had by all!
