BtP is very very happy to announce yet another Procol Harum concert in 2001: this time in Norway.
When Procol Harum take the stage at the Sørlandshallen on Saturday 26 May, it will be one day from the 34th anniversary of A Whiter Shade of Pale entering the British charts, to stay there for eleven weeks.
This concert, which is a band-only gig, will include Gary Brooker and Matthew Fisher: the rest of the lineup is yet to be confirmed.
Kristiansand is located in the southern part of Norway, in an area often called "The Sun Coast of Norway", and the city has good communications to Europe and the Scandinavian countries in particular, through air and sea. Sørlandshallen is the largest venue in Kristiansand, and has hosted many major concerts. In the set-up for Procol Harum it will accommodate 2,000 persons.
This is expected to be the only Procol Harum concert in Scandinavia this year, so it should be the obvious choice for all North European Palers as well as people wishing to hear the band play a "band-only" concert.
The venue is close to a first-class hotel, and BtP expects to negotiate very good prices both for accommodation and for a place to hold a Palers' Party. Kristiansand is the home town of webmaster Jens, and dependent on demand we can help arranging sight-seeing tours in the surrounding area, including the unique seashore with its beautiful islands. So prepare for an excellent weekend in Kristiansand! |
Tickets will go on sale soon, and BtP will give you all booking details for tickets and hotel as soon as possible.
