Procol
headlined over The Animals (feat. Spenser Davis) and Chris Farlowe, but GB was in great (and visible) pain following an accident; it was a courageous
showing – the band rallied splendidly, especially Geoff W who contributed some
lead vocals – but eventually Gary’s offstage doctor prevailed and Procol cut
their set short. The Finnish crowd was brilliantly sympathetic and
appreciative of Brooker’s professionalism. As Graham Ewins put it, they don't
call him ‘The Commander’ for nothing. |
