Brooker, Dunn, Pegg, Phillips, Whitehorn

If you were able to get to this gig, please send us all your pictures, memorabilia, interviews and so forth!

Bringing Home the Bacon
The VIP Room
Shine on Brightly (ripping great solo from Josh)
Pandora's Box (and again from Josh)
Learn to Fly
(You Can't) Turn Back the Page
An Old English Dream (first chorus instrumental only)
Homburg
Simple Sister

Interval

Something Magic ('all 127 chords')
One Eye on the Future (seems a little faster and very nice pace)
A Rum Tale (nice Copping, but really now JP's own touches)
Grand Hotel (with the Victor Borge hands rolling off the keys, and Viennese mid-section. 'This is a new song you wouldn't have heard – words by Keith Reid'. Prior to playing Gary speaks of people who go missing, and says the day Fats Domino went missing was one of the worst days of his life since Sam Cooke died. Someone yells out, 'Blueberry Hill!')
Blueberry Hill (complete) 'Anyway, they found Fats. He was sitting in his house having a good time playing the piano and nobody there told him about Katrina!' Starts to play, changing words to 'Swimming to New Orleans'. 'Anyway some people go missing before they should: 'Missing Persons'.'
Missing Persons (nice applause for GW leads and strong applause for the song. Some guy yells out, 'Let's hear the Hammond'. And Gary says, 'Yes, by all means.' He stands up and then says to Josh, 'Play it! You wrote it! It's only notes.')
Strictly Come Dancing (one go around: and Gary exhorts, 'Drinks on Josh afterwards in the bar!')
A Salty Dog
Conquistador

Encore

The Miller's Tale (from first note on; Dolf de Vries joins Gary and plays the upper keys [he scored the No More Fear Of Flying that Gary recorded with him and was played live at the Copenhagen show with Georgie Fame earlier this year]. Gary gets up and de Vries continues to play a very jazzy piano and stays throughout the song with Gary singing up front. Gary back to the piano as both complete the song with the band and the standard ending.)

Earlier on, Gary mentioned today is the anniversary of JFK's assassination, St Cecilia's day, and Thanksgiving Day.

Soundcheck Notes

The Devil Came from Kansas (a bit slower – now faster)
