Gary Brooker leads a cracklingly lively incarnation of the band
The stage-layout is unconventional: piano, organ and bass are not normally accommodated in the same shot
Geoff Dunn on drums sits far stage left, opposite the piano, for better
eye-contact; this means the lucky audience gets to watch him side-on
Geoff Whitehorn, top form and high spirits
Josh Phillips in a quieter moment
Some backing vocal from Geoff: on Something Magic it is more a case of a twin lead voice
Again, the band's excitement may be read in their body-language
Gary at his new, Yamaha piano
Geoff working up the neck
And Geoff D behind his kit. Gary told BtP ('phone call, 5
November 2006) that this was not strictly 'The BJ Position'
since other Procol drummers had also inhabited it. But it had been beneficial to
move the kit to
this position because Geoff D had a big cymbal 'that meant he couldn't always
see
my conducting head', as the Commander put it.
