Peter Skorpik reports: After a local R&R band (I've never heard of them) Procol Harum entered the stage at 6pm, exactly when heavy rain started. Great to hear old songs like Something Following Me and Kaleidoscope. All-in-all a fine gig in front of nearly 4,000 wet people. I couldn't listen to Manfred Mann and Joe Cocker because I was the only one of the Procol 'family' to dine with Gary and co. after their gig. That was only possible because a girlfriend of mine gave me her press-licence and so my name for the rest of the evening was 'Susan' (Procol were very amused about that). |
