François Courvoisier writes to BtP:
Please find enclosed a pdf from the Berner Zeitung (newspaper from Bern, Switzerland, issued on 2 May, 2005, page 11: culture) about the latest Procol performance.
I have highlighted in yellow the sections that refers to our favorite band,
and I have tried to translate them (please don't hesitate to impove my draft):
About 7,000 people want to see and listen to Uriah Heep, Procol Harum and Co.
....
"It is so beautiful, we have been introduced to each other with this song,",
certifies a 54 year- old man with tears in his eyes. Together with his wife, he
has just danced on the mega-hit A Whiter Shade of Pale which has made
Procol Harum famous worldwide in 1967.
....
Kurt Wasserfallen, a politician from the City Council of Bern, has just
celebrated his 58th birthday on the Wednesday before: "Yes, I still know who is
Procol Harum, and it reminds me of the time where I was a fan of Elvis Presley.
My father wanted to forbid me hearing this music, however ten years after he has
found it quite good!"
....
Geoff Whitehorn has been positively surprised by the acoustic, because he has
expressed big doubts how the sound could be in an huge ice stadium.
....
And finally Procol Harum, founded in 1967, naturally rocked with A Whiter
Shade of Pale.
Thanks, François
