Procol Harum was in very great form, the gig was better than Stuttgart 1 and even Stuttgart 2 – they had a lot of drive in numbers like Conquistador, Simple Sister or Shadow Boxed and great feeling in the slow ones. Gary changed some songs from his original setlist: they did not play Whaling Stories, As Strong as Samson, She Wandered Through the Garden Fence; and they did play (not in the original list) Homburg, My Girl (full song)!, Cerdes (very great), This World is Rich (Gary!) and Wall Street Blues. Gary did a lot of gags with the audience and the band – the audience was full of enthusiasm. (thanks, Achim; thanks, Jutta) |
