We have had an excellent response to this band call, which is now closed.
Many thanks to all who have signed up to play in the LA Palers' Band!
The Palers' Band is a 'scratch ensemble' that meets to play Procol / Brooker / Fisher music on the fringes of the real band's gigs. It is open to all and is brilliant fun to be part of. All equipment ... backline, PA, Hammond B3, bass, drums ... is supplied by BtP (Festival ticket receipts cover this), but people bring their own guitars. It is not a free-for-all jam: the repertoire is worked out in advance by e-mail collaboration, and organised by Roland from BtP on the basis of preferences the participants express. Players can thus prepare beforehand, knowing what pieces they will play, in what keys. That said, we have a lot of fun in rehearsal as well.
The Los Angeles Palers' Band has a pool of about 20 players so far, and we will be finalising the line-up and repertoire shortly. So if you'd like to play, you need to send in your details (see below) by 27 June. We shall have exceptional facilities and rehearsal opportunities: the rehearsals will be an enjoyable end in themselves, with public performance as the icing on the cake!

Then please answer all these questions, and give it some thought, since we will be doing our best to use the information you send in order to ensure that you have a good time and enjoy the Palers' Festival to the maximum. Do note, though, that we obviously cannot guarantee to accommodate everyone's desires, though we will try!
