Procol Harum sound-checking |

Sound man Graham Ewins sets up the sound-desk to his liking |

The gig proper ... everyone hard at work, and |
The atmosphere at this gig was absolutely fantastic, and the band were egged on by the attentions of some Luskus young Danes in the very front row who danced and sang along at every suitable opportunity. No wonder Procol like to play Denmark! |
M Pegg in the flaming 'Burger King' shirt that Gary Brooker did not cease to make fun of; Matthew Fisher standing at the keyboard in order to coordinate the end of a song |
Gary wearing a tee-shirt designed and made by the 'Beyond the Pale' team (who got a handsome name-check ... Gary told Jens later that he would not have mentioned him so embarrassingly, had he realised both webmasters were in the building); Geoff plays Still There'll be More in response to a request yelled out in a Bristol accent. GW takes a Harlequin harmony vocal; Matt smiles at the posse of front-row fans ... |
The show has to end, and there's a moment's drama as an insatiable fan rushes the stage and is hurried away by Wee Pete, who looks after 'the banjos' among other things on tour. |
Discussion among the band as to what should be offered by way of an encore |
Last two pictures ... no doubt whatever that the band deserved and got a magnificent response from this excellent audience in the Danish capital |
Goodbye! |
