The Champagne Reception for Procol Harum

Doubtless we'll have lots more pictures from the two Palers' Events at the Fairfield Halls in due course. For now, however, please enjoy this post-gig picture of Gary Brooker entertaining the fans … the faces of Mark Brzezicki, Matt Pegg and Lou Fowkes tell their own story!

Mark doesn't seem to have got any champagne … perhaps he was parking his Cadillac while the waiter brought the tray. Gary is wearing his unique purple 'One More Toast' tee-shirt, a birthday-present from 'Beyond the Pale': he chose the colour at Matthew Fisher's wedding-party. In circulation worldwide there are 35 white shirts with this wording and 35 black ones: to celebrate the first 35 years of A Whiter Shade of Pale and of Procol Harum.
