Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings

Frans Steensma for BtP, 12 October 1998

A very fit-looking Gary Brooker stole the show in a completely sold-out Paradiso last Sunday. The power in his voice had to be heard to be believed. His a capella singing at the beginning of Ooh Poo Pah Doo was the highlight of the evening. An extra mention must go to Albert Lee and Martin Taylor who fought out a historical guitar battle in Tear It Up.
