August 31:

Added a page containing an article by Jack Bond, director of Separation, the 60s film that used Procol Harum / Matthew Fisher music. Interesting Zeitgeist stuff, though mentions of the film itself are infrequent (thanks, Ian)

Tomorrow, when the Webmaster and his deputy will both be otherwise engaged, 'Beyond the Pale' will be updated late, or perhaps early.


August 29: Happy Birthdays Chris Copping and Geoff Whitehorn (treat yourself to one of  Geoff's solo albums) Procol Harum play in six weeks' time at Drammen, Norway

Added a couple of articles from a while back – here and here – relating to the A Whiter Shade of Pale lawsuit (thanks, all)

Apparently there is an extensive piece in today's Sunday Telegraph – page 14 of the colour supplement – by Jack Bond about his life in 1967, mainly his affair with Charlotte Rampling, and the premiere of Separation in Naples If anybody can send this in, we'd be grateful (thanks, Ian)

Procol fans who have been corresponding with Germany's Michael Ackermann about the forthcoming Hagen gig, and sending 'Living Legends' poster-orders: please note that Michael will not be answering e-mails for about eight days, but will attend to your orders and queries as soon as he's home. (Good luck, Big Mike, from the BtP team!)

Arguably this album, with the long-lost Simple Sister and Shine on Brightly from the original 1971 Edmonton concert, is among the most desirable of the whole series so far.
