|A reminder that 'Beyond the Pale' hosts a chat-list for Procol Harum fans – The Beanstalk – which may be accessed here. Contrary to some people's impressions, this is an unmoderated list: the mails that fans write go to all subscribers at the same time (the webmasters don't preview them, nor do they hold anything back). Over-large messages are returned automatically by the software, with a message that may give the impression that they are 'moderated', and postings from non-subscribers are discarded to prevent spamming, but don't be misled: the only censorship on the Beanstalk is self-censorship (hence the rubric on the sign-up page) which – we trust – will ensure that people keep on-topic and don't post anything hurtful to other readers. Outside that sensible and humane consideration, all shades of opinion are of course welcome.|
