October 8: Happy Birthday Ray Royer (1945) : 'Beyond the Pale' is nine years old today!
• Gary Brooker made the following tribute to BJ while introducing The Palers' Band at The Palers' Revels in Lejre, Denmark, on 19 August after Procol's first symphonic concert. In the heat of the moment GB had been speaking French, with simultaneous translation by Roland; then he reverted to English ...
So we can have a good night for him, 'cos he would have been straight in front, head man at this party. Good luck for the evening, have a good time!
• We're also happy to announce a new product in the BtP shop, the Whaling Stories decorative patch that depicts BJ Wilson in 'Hero' mode. This attractive product was created by Michael Ackermann for the [now-suspended] Whaling Stories Fan Club in Germany; his stock is now available online for the first time (thanks, Michael). Click here to view!
