Christmas Quizzes 2018–2019

Question of the Day : 25 December

As you'll know from the how-to-play page – which it might be sensible to read through again, for guidance – each clue leads to a song title, and that's what you need to find. There will be three song-titles to find, daily, and you'll want to write each answer on a piece of paper which you'll keep by you through the competition, and need to refer to again on the final day.

Remember the Resources and links page. Most players will need to visit that page to answer most of the questions, and may need to visit several links in order to satisfy themselves of the answer.

In each clue you will find something very usefula word hint – picked out in bold, suggesting something you can Google or think about, to get you started.

1
T

A solo piano/vocal number with words and music by Gary Brooker, released by Procol Harum in 2017 but never yet performed in concert.

1 H

Keith Reid’s first solo album contained an early version of his non-Procol 1986 worldwide chart-topper;
one of the co-composers of that well-known song also contributed to the music of just one published Procol song, from the band's 'reunion' album: and that's the song-title you're looking for now.

1 E

This vindictive 1970 song’s title has been borrowed for a 2018 Boxed Set and Procol tour.
