*Procol Harum with choir and orchestra

*Procol's eight-date sell-out New Year tour of Danish cities has been a
magnificent triumph, a superbly-staged, -dressed, and -lit spectacle in
which the forces of the five-piece band came together in an unforgettably
moving and exciting programme with the sixteen choral singers and
forty-something members of the DR VokalEnsemble and DR
UnderholdningsOrkesteret under the baton of Maestro David Firman.

Press notices were excellent, and well over 13,000 music-fans, some local
and some who had travelled very significant distances to hear the band, were
deeply satisfied with what they heard. Jens Hofman – the DR-producer who
made it all possible – has promised that DR will continue the collaboration
with Procol Harum.

The band are justly lauded as musical heroes by the Danes, and this
represents a magnificent start to the new decade. Denmark's 'Procol Harum
Project' also played an excellent gig in Copenhagen, joined for four encore
pieces by ex-Procoler Dave Ball: there are clips on YouTube.

Robin Trower news and free music*

Robin Trower's new album *The Playful Heart* is in stores and online now.
Trower recently played his last session in the UK (17 January), with
Livingstone Brown, working on new songs for one of Brown's unsigned artists.
Today he flew out of London for the sunnier shores of Florida shores where
he is 'itching to be back on stage'. Tour dates at
