To supplement and compliment
[sic] our highly acclaimed 3CD
30th Anniversary Anthology
featuring Procol Harum's first four albums together with
a selection of rare and previously-unissued titles by the
group, Westside is now embarking on a year-long programme
that will see all four albums reissued individually, and
each with a further selection of bonus tracks – the
majority of which have been discovered since the boxed
set was released in September 1997, and many of which
will be exclusive to each individual package. |
Procol Harum...Plus! offers the first album plus 10
bonus tracks that weren't included on the original issue (including
Whiter Shade Of Pale and Homburg, the group's first
two hit singles). Since we issued the boxed set, we have been
lucky enough to unearth the long-thought-lost original production
tape that the 1968 [sic] vinyl album
was mastered from – our earlier issue was mastered from a
'safety copy' which, while technically excellent, was
nevertheless a generation removed from the one which was used to
master this CD. No previous reissue has sounded as good as this
one does – and with the bonus of some material that has
never been heard before, even by the most ardent of Procol
collectors, we feel confident that we have a release that's
potentially as saleable as the 3CD set, which has now sold close
on 13, 000 copies – in itself a guarantee of a large fanbase
of probable punters for this title.
