Diane Rolph wrote to Roland and Jens :
has asked me to convey to BtP an acknowledgement of the
phenomenal contribution made by the website in bringing
people together at the weekend.
"She wants Jens and Roland to know that Gary was 'touched to tears' listening to his music being played on Saturday evening and to thank you for organising such a wonderful event for those gathered.
"Franky also wants you to know that Gary is overwhelmed at the distances people travelled to attend Guildford and would like to thank everyone for doing so.
"I'm sure everyone will agree it was one of our most memorable weekends ever!
"Roll on the next time.
"Love to all
Needless to say the BtP proprietors are thrilled by this message and thank Franky and Gary for their very kind remarks. May we in turn thank them for the very generous presents they gave us to auction at the party … more of which anon … and may we also thank numerous other well-wishers for their kindness.

shows the unheralded arrival of Gary
Brooker at the Palers' Convention in the County Suite
of the Guildford Civic Hall on 16 September 2000, the
night before the Millennium Concert.
The presence of Gary and Franky, and Gary's performance of A Rum Tale at the piano, put a fabulous icing on a very good cake!
