BJ with the Paramounts in Paris

Kindly sent to 'BtP' by Barrie Wilson's brother, Richard

Please enjoy these exuberant snaps of BJ's trip to Paris in October 1965 with The Paramounts, some of which are well-known, others of which will be new to most Palers.

Maybe this is Sandie Shaw in the picture, not a French girl ... hard to tell since she's looking away from us, and wearing shoes. [thanks, Kevin Kennedy]

Ready for action, the leathers and the drainpipes a world away from the native attire visible in the background.

We're assured that the modish young lady, parleying with the lean Londoner, is none other than Sandie Shaw

A small prize to the first Paler who can identify exactly where in Paris the Paramounts stayed (Ian C has a head start here!) … it looks rather nice …

Gary and Barrie, pictured with a picture. Is it a magazine centrefold, or a record-sleeve? Is she a levitating mermaid, or are they just holding her sideways?

There's something pleasantly Hard Day's Night-esque about this balcony shot …

Both these last pictures are crying out for captions …
it looks like a case of percussion-tips from an old-timer, and hoping to catch some food-item thrown from a balcony … but again, we shall never know …
