'We skipped the choir practice'

An AWSoP parody by Jen Laverick

  We skipped the choir practice
And turned cartwheels cross the floor.
I was feeling kind of seasick
But the choir called out for more.
The basses hummed harder
And the tenors ran away
When she called out for another song
The basses ran away

And so it was that later
As the tenors told their tale
That her face at first just Rosie
Turned a whiter shade of pale.

She said 'There is no reason,
And the truth is plain to see,'
That you haven't learnt your music
And there is no excuse
One of sixteen wee sopranos
Who were leaving for the coast
And although our ears were open
They might just just have well been closed.

And so it was that later
As the tenors told their tale
That her face at first just Rosie
Turned a whiter shade of pale.
