PH for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Another angle …please vote!

Carol Bellantoni [see her Procol paintings here] writes to BtP:

'I've been having a few thoughts about the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame proposal:

'The Hall of Fame uses a committee of rock historians: after that, the process is voting ballots sent to about 1,000 in the international voting body. The performers who receive the highest number of votes and more than 50% of the vote, are inducted.

'While it is unlikely that a campaign to induct Procol could reach the voting body directly, perhaps indirectly is possible? Writing to Rolling Stone or some of the other rock music publications might be a good idea.

'However, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has just begun conducting a poll to determine 'the greatest rock and roll song of all time'.

'This is a serendipitous opportunity for Procol fans to have their voice heard at the Hall of Fame. While the poll is restrictive, in that it only allows you ONE vote of your own choice in addition to nine chosen from an already-devised list, it is conceivable that if ENOUGH people vote for A Whiter Shade Of Pale Procol could win the poll.

All the Best,
Carol

'PS. The current leading contender is Stairway To Heaven … Good God, we've got our work cut out for us ... '

So … please vote now!
