The Addams family had nothing on us!

Nobody much managed to solve the mystery of our last uncaptioned picture : Palers fared better with this one, perhaps subliminally aided by the clue in the html page-name. The best entry was from Richard Beck who wrote '... the faces look like one very big family. Did Dave, Denny, and Pete Ball have MORE siblings? And could ol' Dave be our mystery photo contributor?' Close, but not quite close enough to win that mythical triple-CD of unreleased 1966 PH sessions signed by everyone who's ever been in the band or ever will be. Full answer below!

This is a family picture taken outside the Ball household in 1969 / 70 or thereabouts. From the left; Mum, Me, Dave Macintosh (wearing the jocks), Brother Den behind me, Cozy Powell with Barbara Etherington (friend), then Brother Pete. The band was Big Bertha ... The Addams family had nothing on us! ... Roland, it was lovely to see that picture on the site ... Mum would have been delighted.
