With Barrie Wilson

Pat Keating, from Kansas, visits Corvallis cemetery

On  9 August 2013 my wife and I were driving from Crater Lake, Oregon up to Portland, Oregon and I realised that Corvallis, Oregon was a short detour off the highway.  Armed with Unsteady Freddie's previous information, we found the cemetery and, after a bit more searching than we bargained for (long story), we found Barrie James Wilson's gravesite.  I did not personally know Mr. Wilson, so my visit was not as emotional as Freddie's, but it was still a moving experience.  Just to realise that Procol's great drummer was buried under that earth was a "heavy" thought.  We said a few prayers for the beloved "B J" and then resumed our journey. Contrary to Freddie's previous weather report (rain), the weather was gorgeous on the day we visited.

I don't have too much to add to what is already at BtP, here and here, except maybe a closer-up view of the "drummer icon" on the grave marker.
