Gary Brooker's Birthday Party

A few early photographs

Arnt & Astrid write from Norway: 'Thanks for a lovely party in Freising for Gary's birthday. We both enjoyed it very much, and it was great to see that Gary had such an enjoyable evening ... it shows in these enclosed pictures. Everything was just great.'

Roland from BtP is reading his rhyming commemoration of the Brooker birthday. Also in shot, left to right, Jens from BtP, Chris from LA,
Ian from Oman, Antonio from Portugal, Josh from Procol, Amanda from Australia, Maria from Portugal, Geoff W and
Matt from Procol, Emilia ('the baby from Redhill'), and Chris, Procol's manager

Gary Brooker has just uncorked the Methuselah of bubbly very kindly provided by Stefano Ciccioriccio, from Rome, who's peeping round
the Commander's shoulder.  Anni standing by in her Dirndl with the first champagne flute

Intent concentration as Eberhard Schoener – the conductor with whom Procol Harum worked extensively in the 1970s, and GB in the 80s (story here) – offers his tribute to Gary Brooker.
Behind him, Peter Christian, who simultaneously translated Herr Schoener's comments into English; behind him, Paul Kohrer who so admirably did all the groundwork for this
excellent gathering (thanks, Paul). Next to Paul, Klaus Vetterle who printed the menu programmes; and behind Chris Cooke, Jakob Frandsen (Danish, but resident in nearby Munich)
