The Ollie G Big Top Ball, Whithorn Farm, Surrey, UK

Gary Brooker and Band raising more money • 14 June 2008

The Ollie G Big Top Ball was a fund raising event for The Society for Mucopolysaccharide Diseases, a voluntary support group founded in 1982, representing over 1,200 children and adults throughout the UK who suffer from mucopolysaccharide and related lysosomal storage diseases. Music at this charity spectacular, which raised £196,464, was provided by Gary Brooker and friends: Graham Broad on drums, Dave Bronze on bass, second guitar Murray Gould, saxes Frank Mead and Nick Pentalow, vocalists Tara McDonald and Tracey Graham, with guest vocalist Nikki Lambourne, Andy Fairweather Low guest vocal and guitar, and Eric Clapton as another guest guitarist. The sum raised will go direct to the MPS Society: 40% for research, 40% to take sufferers and thir families to Florida  for a medical conference and Disneyland visit, and 20% for help in their daily lives.
