The setlist was the same both nights, 19 and 20 January, writes Gerard York (pictured above, right; photos on this page by Anastasia York). I met fellow Beanstalker Jude and her sister in St. Petersburg: they were true Trower heads. My wife was a trooper too – the music was not to her taste. For some reason I can't remember now – probably my student budget – I tuned out of Trower in the late 70s (I think Long Misty Days is the last one I got on vinyl) and didn't start buying his CDs again until Go My Way. Consequently, there has been about twenty years of listening to catch up on and the recent concerts encouraged me to do so. Right now I am particularly enjoying Victims of the Fury and 20th Century Blues. The fun is just beginning!
