Palers' Party, Bloomsbury, 6 March 2005

Images from the sing-song : Alan Garmonsway

At previous conventions we've gone to elaborate and costly trouble to hire gear and plan exactly who would play what, and it's worked very well indeed ... but the ethos of the Bloomsbury party was that people brought an instrument if they wanted, and we busked without prior consultation, rehearsal, or indeed knowing all the changes ... oddly, in what follows, there are no pictures of people in the crowd singing ... but sing they did!

The data projector in the foreground is throwing song-words on the screen so everyone can sing along to them

Ian Hockley at the piano gives his tonsils an airing as well

It may look like a huge room, but the wall opposite the camera is a mirror

Geoff Whitehorn exchanges words with Alan Garmonsway

Roland on bass, Ian on piano, Alan on 12 string.
